A Poetry Contest

I am not sure this is going to generate the enthusiasm that I hope it will, but it is worth a try. So here is the idea. Below you will find a mixture of words. You can use any/all of these words repeat them if you wish but do not add any words that don't show up below. Use all these to make a poem about spring.

The person who posts the best poem will receive this actual original ACEO as a symbolic award for his/her poetic skills.

The / Direction / Naked / Silence / Reminder / Hope / Of / Serve / Anyone / Else / It / Simple / Extended / Apparent / At / Time / Limbs / Should / Fingers / Was / Are / Window / No / With

Please finish the poem by Sunday April 1st. and post it as a comment below.

PS: A Question was asked if you could use different forms of the word (i.e. Silence, Silent, Silently) The answer is yes you can. I hope this helps.

Are you allowed to change your own rules like that? It's a slippery slope - how about Serving, service, server and A, an for The, then Direct, directly, director... at least make it one exception per poem or something like that. No?
Not that I'm trying to write the &^%#@!?! poem myself anymore, I gave up two hours ago. :-)

Hey my contest my rules and yes you can go wild as long as you use only derivatives of these words. Now don't give up please! Try again!!!

Spring launches the wildest ideas, doesn't it? How fun. Count me in. I'll be back with a poem -- of some kind -- before the deadline.

The challenge is harder than it would seem! Haiku worked best for me, plus, thankfully, your allowing of derivatives.

The fingers of limbs
direct the hopeful at Time's
extended windows.

'Tis the time of hope
the time of reminding someone
of silent windows
of naked limbs
apparently, hope serves noone

Two beautiful poems.Wow I love them. I know the first is from Debi, but the second comes from a shy poet!! Tisk Tisk. What if you win? Can't send an ACEO to "Anonymous"!

I am not particularly intersted in that specific ACEO. I have another one in mind. Let's see if I win first, then I'll reveal my identity!!!

The fingers of time
Silence
The simple naked hope
Of limbs
Extended
In the direction
Of anyone,
Extended
At no one

Ha! It's ugly, but I only used one freebie (anyone-no one)

At the window, the silence of
naked limbs, fingers extended
with no apparent direction
reminds anyone, simply:
Time serves hope, else
hope serves time.

Well well well! We got ourselves a good contest going here. It's going to be hard to choose! Keep them coming please.

Not sure if I'm doing this properly but here goes.........I tried :o)

Naked limbs with fingers extended
Direction apparent.
Was anyone at the window?
No hope of anyone at the time,
Silence, the simple reminder.

The silent fingers of limbs, extended, are reminders of times direction. The window of hope serves with apparent simplicity. Should anyone serve silence else it extends? No! Time was the hope
