If I Had A Boat
This is my first tentative attempt at using web video on my blog so bare with me. The drawing is nothing great. I just had to do something to try this out.

Istanbul - Colour corrected
I just had to re-photograph this painting. The colours are very subtle and I had to work on it several times in PS to get it right. This time it looks just right on my screen. The yellow is a bit stronger than it shows in the actual painting, but the rest is just right.

Solitary Lookout
This knife painting was a true pleasure to work on. The colours again are not right in the computer image, but somehow I am having a very hard time translating the subtle colours that I am deliciously making to the bits and bites of the computer digital world. Perhaps I will try to rephotograph this one and the one of Istanbul again this week. I really want you to enjoy the paintings as they really are.
For now, I hope you can appreciate this one as it is until I can fix the colours on the screen.

Poppies and Lake
I am not sure if there is room on eBay for my kind of art in the ACEO category. I see other artists trying to sell similar work, but what seems to be "on fashion" there are fairies, mermaids and unicorns. Perhaps there is another venue for artists who do not wish to go down that path. I am not aware of it. Meanwhile, hope springs eternal. Here is another one I placed on eBay for your review. It is painted on Linen canvas and the glazed on a card that is slightly larger than the ACEO for ease in framing. Of course you can trim the card off if it is not needed.

Istanbul
This one took me about 2 weeks to finish. The photo does not do it justice. The colours are too subtle to capture in a photo, but I tried my best to work in PS to get as close as possible to the real colours.

Escarpment - Milton
I went up to Rattle Snake Point today and settled on a lookout across to the Escarpment. It was a beautiful day just right for painting outdoors.
Aside from a brief interruption from a very nice group of Kazakh hikers, I was on my own. I hope to do this again tomorrow. It was just a great morning en plein-air.

Manhattan's Edge From Across The Hudson
This little ACEO took me a few hours to make today. It has been a slow and drizzly day with a dark sky and never ending rain. So I took my time painting this one - small as it is - and enjoyed the lazy atmosphere that it, and nature had in store for me today.

Cottage Country
I am not satisfied with this one. I have to stop trying to paint these idyllic views they are just to neat for me. Fact is, they have been done so well by others over the centuries that I am not sure I could add anything new to them.
Still it was a good exercise! No?
